Oh, right.

I love how people keep telling me to "rest" and "take it easy" and "sleep when the baby sleeps" and blah blah blah. I have one question for people who say those things: have you met my toddler?

  2. That is why we instituted quiet time at our house. You don't have to go to sleep- you can play with dolls, read books, whatever- as long as you do it quietly in your room ( we also turn the door knob around so the lock is on the outside). My kids all did fine with it.

  3. We have "rest time" from 11:30-2:00. Sophie has discovered since we brought the baby home that it's lots of fun to be VERY loud when she's done napping or if she decides she doesn't want to nap. Luckily, she hasn't figured out how to open doors yet. :)

  4. I fell asleep once when the baby was napping . . . and woke up to Emma putting the wrong end of headphones into Zac's ear. Yup, "sleep while the baby is sleeping" is a rule that most certainly does not work when you have a toddler. You should stop being tired in, oh, about 18 years. :)
